HeartStone 'The Grand Tournament' Development Announced
CRB Tech reviews that during a live event nowadays, Blizzard declared the next expansion, The Huge Competition, is arriving to Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft. The development will consist of over 130 new cards.
Game design administrator Eric Dodds took to the level to make the statement, explaining the expansion as being about "epic characters doing fight on impressive steeds."
New card were proven off during the demonstration, as well as the statement of a new mechanic that concentrates on the heroes. There will be a "ton of new hero energy card," Dodds said. One such card is the Maiden of the Lake, a card that decreases hero energy cost to 1. The development also presents a new keyword and key phrase, "Inspire." Motivate minions have abilities that stimulate every time you use your hero energy.
The tale is centered around Warcraft's Argent Competition. Invites were sent out to "mighty warriors" to join in the tournament, but Dodds said "something occurred they were not actually anticipating." Among the knights in combat and fighters that show up to the tournament, Murlocs, Clockwork Knights, and Cutthroat buccaneers also showed up.
"We took a very serious part of tradition and made it a little bit less serious," Dodds laughed.
Fans can pre-purchase the new features starting next week and the expansion will be usable "next 30 days," according to Dodds. The pre-purchase deal is for 50 features at a money a package. Pre-purchasing the card will open up a special cards back.
